Brighton Nutritionist specialising in type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes

I am a Brighton nutritionist offering one-to-one, personalised nutritional advice and support. Through the use of nutritional therapy, my aim is to optimise your health and improve or even cure existing health conditions.

My area of specialisation is the treatment of type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes. I assess your diet and your lifestyle, and recommend nutritional and other changes.  I have seen in practice type 2 diabetes successfully reversed in my clients by making simple changes and without having to resort to medication.

How can I help you  ?

We now know that nutrition influences all of the different systems of the body. However the science of nutrition is complex and constantly evolving. Furthermore, messages we hear in the media are confusing and often contradictory.

I provide clear evidence-based advice, that’s realistic and sustainable. I educate and empower you to make positive changes to your diet and lifestyle to bring you long-term health benefits.

Simon Peters

Brighton Nutritionist BSc (Hons) DipION MFNTP

I’ve always been fascinated by the relationship between our minds and bodies and our environment.  While working in a high-pressure role in finance in London, I suffered from personal health issues. It was then that I became particularly interested in the role of nutrition in our physical and mental well-being and re-trained as a nutritional therapist.  I decided to specialise in the treatment of type 2 diabetes because I found that this increasingly common condition responds well to nutritional therapy

I am a member of both the Nutrition Society and the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners. I have a diploma in nutritional therapy from the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition in Richmond, and also an honours degree in Human Environmental Science from Kings College London. Alongside my Brighton nutritionist clinic I also write articles on nutrition for the local press. I have lived and worked in Brighton with my wife and son for the last 15 years.

I first started seeing Simon over 10 years ago when I was looking for a Brighton nutritionist to help me deal with chronic digestive health problems. The advice he gave me then lead me to make changes to my diet that have had a lasting impact on my health, highly recommended.

Simon has given me down-to-earth advice on nutrition and dietary requirements which I follow to this day. Consequently, I suffer no food-related problems anymore whatsoever without having to sacrifice. What more could you want? Thanks again!

I saw Simon for some advice about improving performance for long distance cycling. He was knowledgeable and gave me some great practical tips for prior, during and after doing the exercise. I would definitely recommend Simon.
